CBN TO INTRODUCE 5,000 NAIRA NOTE IN 2013!

            

Thursday 23, August, 2012 The Central Bank of Nigeria made known to the public that it will introduce the 5,000 Naira note into the system. The faces of three powerful prominent Nigerian Female activists will be used on the new notes, 1. HAJIYA GAMBO SAWABA - POLITICIAN AND ACTIVIST (1933 - 2001), 2. FUNMILAYO RANSOME KUTI - POLITICIAN AND WOMEN'S RIGHT ACTIVIST AND MOTHER OF THE LEGENDARY FELA KUTI (1900 - 1978), 3. MARGARET EKPO - POLITICIAN AND SOCIAL MOBILIZER (1914 - 2006) these are true women of substance, and contrary to the early news that the face of former President Umar Musa Yar'adua will be used. The new note will be launched in 2013!
