UV - NAYOSOUL ACOUSTIC SESSIONS S01E01

NAYOSOUL', born Odunayo Ayorinde, is a Nigerian Soul/Jazz singer, Vocalist and songwriter.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Nayosoul she listened to her grandmother and sisters sing in the choir and later explained that this may have inspired her interest in music.
When she was 17 or 18 years old, Naysoul started writing lyrics for music touching on any topic that came to mind, especially Christian music. Her primary singing experience came from "singing in the shower". She was groomed in the Church choir and started taking 'solos' at the age of 14 where she one day discovered her love for soul/jazz music.
NayoSouls Acoustic Session is a Project she has embarked on Just to appreciate her fans, and to also showcase her talent. Its a project that shows her doing acoustic versions of her songs and covers of other songs.
Episode One shows her performing an Acoustic version of her song "Rhythm of the Sound" which she released couple of months ago. Watch and Enjoy this Great Singer.

Anywho....moving on..
This track on Stand By Me was put together by not so well known artist from the streets of the world (Rua de Mundo) where you and i live. Roger Ridley started with the base track-vocals and guitar-recorded on from the street of Santa Monica,  California. Next was Grandpa Elliot a blind singer from the French quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana, his vocals and harmonica was added while listening to RR's base track on headphone, legal! right?...(legal in Portuguese means cool/awesome) Washboard chaz from same city added some metal percussion to it...Washboard waow! how creative can those who wants CHANGE can get...it beats me big time.
From there it got rock 'n' rolling bananas lolz. The producers took charge, mixing the resulting produce all through South America Rio, Europe and Africa my homeland adding new tracks with different instruments and vocals. Watch the final product below;

>>>Imany stage name Nadia Mladjao birth name, she is an Afro-soul singer, she is beautiful, full of talent and got brains too. Born to a couple from Comoros Islands off coast of Mozambique ( 2 thumbs up MZBQ! ) IN France 1979. She has great songs with soulful sounds and retro vids so far. Imany which means Faith in swahili has allowed the faith she is to take her from a successful athlete, doing high-jump to being a model for the Ford Models franchise Europe base to now becoming a again successful Afro-soul singer-songwriter in her own right. ## So whats she doing NOW? >>> well obviously what she does BEST!:) LOL.

Stage name Asa birth name Bukola Elemide proudly New Nigerian, jazz Afro-soul singer-songwriter. Asa a blessed sistah with great talent artistic groove heart and soul for life. she brings out so much emotions to life´s reality in her songs and when her groove is on you´ll wish her music never ends. Born to a Nigerian couple a shopkeeper and wedding video camera guy in Paris 1982, Asa fell in love with music and singing at a tender age that´s why she went to Peter King´s music school. Asa which means "Hawk" in Yoruba dialect, because as a kid she often ran away and changed directions like a hawk. Her lyrics talks about Africa, everyday living and ironies of life itself.                  ~ZOLANI MAHOLA~
                 

>>>Zolani Mahola from the group Freshly Ground was born in Eastern Capetown South Africa 19 July, 1981, she is the beautiful fun loving lead vocalist for the spectacular group Freshly Ground a group formed in capetown 2002 consisting of seven members (7 being the number of completion). She had an acting career  as the lead role in the drama series Tsha-Tsha on SABC1 an SA TV channel and also had a weekend and holiday job as a a receptionist at Makro. This talent sistah studied drama at the University of Capetown. Her voice is phenominal and Africanly soulful (in my own words)hihihi! Afropop and Kwela is her genres and her vocals are off the chart, Great group!! Big Ups SA! >>>Love the vid. below.

Both talent and brains this African beauty is a 1st generation New-Nigerian-American, she was a practicing pharmacist before launching her singing career. Founded the group The Rock by Funk Tribe, interweaving her poetry with jazz, blues, gospel and funk. She released her 1st album of poems-songs ( Black and Blues ) in 2004 and a second in 2008, this soulful talent has done a great lot for herself, working with great  characters in the ARTS such as producers David Franz and Francis Phan and many others.
